How to play

Each gameweek we hand-pick six fixtures from across the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two — usually two from the Premier League, two from the Championship and one each from Leagues One and Two, though the mix flexes when divisions aren’t playing, and some weeks feature FA Cup or League Cup ties. Your job: predict the final score of all six.

Points are awarded per match, best case first:

Scores are taken at the final whistle of normal time — extra time and penalties don’t count.

Predictions for a gameweek lock two hours before the first kick-off in that round. You can edit your predictions as often as you like right up until then — after that they’re set. Miss a whole gameweek and your scorelines from the previous one are carried over, so you’re never left on nothing.

Your season total is your points added up across every gameweek — that’s what the leaderboard ranks. You can take on the whole world, or start a private mini-league with your mates and settle it between you.

There’s £400 in the prize pot this season: 1st £180, 2nd £80, 3rd £40 on the season table, plus £75 for the SP Cup winner and £25 for the runner-up. See the full breakdown.

Each gameweek, one of your six matches scores double points— that’s your Banker.

It defaults to the first match of the round. To move it, tap the 2× button on whichever match you fancy most, then save as usual. You can change it as often as you like right up to the deadline.

The Banker can only ever help you — doubling a score of nothing is still nothing, so there’s no risk in using it. Everyone has one every week, whether they move it or not.
